When is Work Flexibility a Bad Thing
When is Work Flexibility a Bad Thing Work adaptability, which can incorporate alternatives going from full-time working from home to strategic scheduling planning, has been touted as a response for everything from work-life balance issues to atmosphere change. But while greater adaptability is clearly something beneficial for representatives particularly working guardians who are attempting to join a profession and family providing care its insufficient to assist laborers with shuffling their different responsibilities. In truth, without strong arrangements to help it, an excessive amount of adaptability may even be inconvenient to your vocation. When is that the case? When disgrace keeps you down professionally. Its not difficult to perceive any reason why the idea of work adaptability would offer. Americans work a ton 1,783 hours of the week, as per the World Economic Forum. That is a larger number of hours than laborers in Canada, Spain and Sweden. It even beats the Japanese, who work 1,713 hours of the week, so much tha t they have a term, karoshi, that implies demise by overwork.Further, there are signs that things are showing signs of improvement, in any event, for experts whose office employments would appear on a superficial level to be less overwhelming than those in different businesses. In an ongoing article in The Upshot, Women Did Everything Right. At that point Work Got Greedy, Claire Cain Miller talks about the way that administrative occupations and ravenous callings like fund and law progressively request extended periods. Working families may end up settling on extreme decisions about which accomplice will contribute those hours. In male-female connections, ladies frequently end up paying with their expert advancement. Cain Miller writes:Just as more ladies earned degrees, the occupations that require those degrees began paying excessively more to individuals with nonstop accessibility. Simultaneously, more exceptionally instructed ladies started to wed men with comparative trainings, and to have kids. Yet, guardians can be available to come in to work at work just on the off chance that somebody is accessible as needs be at home. For the most part, that individual is the mother. This isn't about instructed ladies quitting work (they are the to the least extent liable to quit working in the wake of having kids, regardless of whether they move to less requesting occupations). Its about how the idea of work has changed in manners that push couples who have equivalent profession potential to take on inconsistent roles. The result: ladies regularly work less and in this manner win less, significantly after they come back to all day work. The expert effect of providing care obligations on ladies is one explanation behind the persistentgender pay gap.On the surface, it appears work adaptability would help with that and it can, however not if theres a disgrace related with exploiting it. Also, at numerous organizations, there is an observation that laborers who utilize st rategic scheduling are less committed (particularly if those laborers are women). At Fast Company, Anisa Purbasari Horton writes:Thats precisely what happened to Amy Nelson, the prime supporter and CEO of the ladies driven collaborating space The Riveter. Preceding beginning The Riveter, Nelson filled in as a litigator. At the point when she had her first kid, she inquired as to whether she could take Wednesdays off however rather she wound up telecommuting as opposed to being off. Quickly, I understood that I needed to accept a 20% decrease in salary to viably work remotely on Wednesdays, she says. While the firm was totally responsive to her solicitation, at long last she wanted to be a strategic scheduling worker hampered her vocation. It felt like [there was a perception] that I wasnt all in, that I wasnt drew in, and I wasnt sure what the eventual fate of my vocation would look like . . . I stressed what it intended to the individuals around me and what it flagged, and I didnt k now how it would influence my organization track. Nelson wound up going out a half year later. How does your compensation stack up on todays work showcase? Take the PayScale Salary Survey and get a free compensation report. When it harms the organization culture.Poorly considered adaptable work arrangements can likewise have the unintended impact of smashing coordinated effort. Why? Since there are less chances to associate with colleagues. That prompts less conceptualizing and innovative inspiration. In the business world, they call it crash focuses where espresso spots and ping pong tables are proposed to guarantee representatives run into one another to impart, mingle, and manufacture brotherhood, says Chip Manning, executive of the Babson Center for Global Commerce at Sewanee: The University of the South, speaking withFast Company. Strategic scheduling can oppose this desire. That doesnt imply that telecommuters or even altogether remote organizations cannot set aside a few minutes and space for laborers to mingle and ricochet thoughts off each other. It just implies that they must be increasingly deliberate about it, arranging ordinary registration and in-person occasions, if possible.Workers can likewise do their bit to be proactive and reach out.Its simple to tumble off of the groups radar screen if youre a versatile specialist or much of the time telecommute, writes Robin Madell at FlexJobs. Abstain from being no longer of any concern by accepting each open door to stay unmistakable and obvious to your colleagues.Madell proceeds: For instance, on the off chance that it isnt as of now set up, propose booking ordinary video visits to exchange updates and offer exercises learned with associates in the workplace. You can likewise set up week after week gatherings with your managereither by means of video chat/telephone or in personto update them as often as possible on your activities progress.Looking for a new position with a decent organization culture? Perus e: 7 Ways to Spot a Bad Company Culture During the Job Interview. When it is anything but a choice.Flexibility can mean numerous things. For experts in salaried occupations, its regularly code for benefits like working from home benefits or a calendar that helps evade an intense drive. Yet, for some specialists, its less an advantage than a burden.Part-time, unexpected and gig laborers have adaptable occupations, however that adaptability is frequently a shelter to their managers, not an advantage to them. At The New York Times, Jodi Kantor expounds on one low maintenance laborer, a Starbucks barista named Jannette Navarro, and her battle to make her calendar work:But Ms. Navarros fluctuating hours, joined with her restricted assets, had likewise transformed their lives into a constant emergency regarding the clock. She once in a while took in her timetable over three days before the beginning of a week's worth of work, diving her into dire strategic riddles over who might watch the kid. Months in the wake of beginning the activity she moved out of her aunties home, to a limited extent in view of mounting contact over the flighty timetable, which the auntie felt was additionally holding her family hostage. Ms. Navarros degree was on uncertain delay since her moving hours left her incapable to resolve to classes. She expected to work everything she could, now and then relying on dimes from the tip container to make the transport charge home. On the off chance that she challenged request increasingly stable hours, she dreaded, she would get less work hours over all.The fight for an anticipated timetable is a typical one in food administration employments to such an extent that a few urban areas have begun enactingfair week's worth of work enactment that qualifies laborers for a reliable schedule. And with respect to gig laborers like ride-share drivers,Uber paid the FTC $20 million of every 2017 to settle charges that the organization overstated middle profit. (Th e first claim?Median profit of $90,000 every year. The truth for the normal Uber or Lyft driver, perThe Street: around $9 an hour.)Flexibility that doesnt incorporate bearable wages isnt truly flexibility. So, is work adaptability an awful thing, really?Short answer: no. Longer answer: adaptability isnt the issue. The issue is that its lone the initial phase in a bigger mentality move. To make a situation that amplifies profitability and coordinated effort, bosses should accomplish more than offer adaptability. Theyll bring to the table laborers more self-rule and power over their workday and make those advantages accessible to everybody, not simply working guardians (i.e., working moms). The old model of adaptability is broken, says Jody Thompson in a meeting withThe Atlantic. Individuals dont need adaptable work routines. What they need is finished command over their time.Thompson is the co-maker, with Cali Ressler, of theResults-Only Work Environment (ROWE), an administration proced ure that centers around results, not hours worked. Ressler and Thompson built up the framework when they were working in Human Resources, best case scenario Buy in the mid 2000s, and spun off the idea into a counseling firm that affirms organizations in their technique.Best Buy in the end moved away from ROWE, butother organizations have executed the framework, including the GAP, Yum! Brands, Toggl and Trello. And ROWEisnt the main path for organizations to give their laborers more freedom and power over their time. From boundless excursion time to work sharing to remote work, there are a wide range of frameworks that can surrender laborers autonomy. Then its to laborers to take advantage of it. That implies defining great limits e.g., logging off at a sensible hour and not browsing work email when you wake up at 2 a.m. It additionally implies going on vacation all the time. For work adaptability to work, the two managers and representatives need to organize balance. Jen Hubley Luckwa ldtThis story initially showed up on PayScale.

The procedure was one that encouraged her to grasp what her identity is - paying little mind to what others think.I realized somewhat more imaginative than the others growing up, and I don't know whether this is a direct result of the left-hand/right cerebrum, however it trained me to not stress over what others thought of me and to simply be me, she shares.Be open to basic feedbackAdjusting - regularly continuously - to right-gave everything requires an agile way to deal with life. Also, maybe, the capacity to be liberal when others evaluate your exhibition or give you criticism. For Walsh, being available to assessment - positive or negative - is a significant mainstay of accomplishment. On the last Saturday of consistently, he plunks down to peruse the entirety of the awful audits, all with an end goal to improve his business technique and client satisfaction. While it tends to be difficult on occasion, this receptiveness to analysis has lead to exponential enhancements and has permitted us to frame solid connections to supporters who were once in the past a portion of our most grounded pundits, he says.Look at the whole scene of your careerWhen you're a lefty, you see the world in an unexpected way. Intermittently, lefties can process data faster since they utilize the two sides of their noggin', and they will in general spotlight on the by and large, long haul vision rather than the little subtleties of the present time and place. Rudolph prescribes this way to deal with the residency of your vocation, too.Instead of moving in a direct movement, assess new jobs dependent on a chance to get the hang of something totally extraordinary and build up another side of your expert self. The more information you have, the better you can assemble the pieces and see the master plan, he explains.Always put stock in yourself and keep your eyes on the target No matter how effective somebody is, how much cash they acquire every year or how frequently they are perceived by their industry or companion gatherings, everybody has those horrible, awful days. Your predominant hand doesn't decide this - yet rather, is a reality that strings of all together. Herrmann says it's essential to consistently keep your eyes on the objective and to be your own main fan.Don't feel frustrated about yourself, since it's entirely expected to hit dividers - simply continue pushing ahead, she says. A ton of business people and experts will in general come up short around the 'downs' since they surrender and leave. This may persuade them to compose with thei r correct hand, regardless of whether it isn't happy. Or then again on account of Herrmann, she made sense of how to utilize a marker on a whiteboard with her accommodating hand, to make sure she wasn't humiliated when her sleeve cleaned away her scrawls before her friends. No matter the situation or human - from your representative to your customer and past - Walsh stresses the significance of rewarding individuals right. Hiring Practices - Tips On How To Write On Resume
Hiring Practices - Tips On How To Write On ResumeThere are a lot of people that are curious about hiring practices and the particulars of writing on resume. In this article I am going to share with you a few tips on how to effectively write on resume.HR specialists must be aware of the qualifications of your company. It is necessary for them to know exactly what the business does. If they don't you could possibly be turned down or something that you have done wrong. Before you write the resume, always remember to know who will be reading it. Most likely you will be writing it for someone else, and they may not necessarily know what they want or have to read through it before hand.Try to make the resume short and concise. I mean it. It is very tempting to add a lot of keywords but I've found that the shorter the better.Be realistic about your skills and capabilities. Unless you really know what you're doing, don't put yourself on a pedestal. Let others know that you have the ability to do the job they are interviewing for, but if they don't see it then they won't hire you.Sometimes you might be asked to rewrite your resume so that it has some relevance to what they're trying to sell. In my opinion this is often a waste of time as the resume must be relevant for someone to actually see it.Make sure you proofread your resume so that you don't make any errors. If you notice any mistakes, make sure you fix it before you send it in.Writing on resume is hard, but it can be made easy. You just need to keep these tips in mind. That way you can enjoy the benefits of applying for jobs and getting hired!

Virtual Onboarding (in the Era of COVID-19) - Workology
Virtual Onboarding (in the Era of COVID-19) - Workology Virtual Onboarding (in the Era of COVID-19) I recently got to experience virtual onboarding due to the Coronavirus pandemic and wanted to share my experience as well as best practices since many companies are onboarding virtually right now. Beginning a new job is a stressful venture for the employee even under the best of circumstances. Onboarding a remote employee could feel daunting to a human resources professional, too, especially the first time through the process. By focusing on the virtual onboarding experience, you can ensure your new employee feels comfortable and has the tools they need to jump into their new role and work productively. Employers must do what they can to ease that digital dividewhile employees are used to being greeted in person, getting a feel for their new coworkers organically, and being able to ask questions as needed, that experience is very different in virtual onboarding. Virtual Onboarding (in the Era of COVID-19) When I began my new job, I had never met any of my future coworkers or supervisors in person before my first day. I had a phone interview followed by a virtual interview in Microsoft Teams since the pandemic was already underway. The first time I met any of my coworkers was the first day of work. I met the COO very briefly in a conference room at my future office to bring paperwork, share ID documents, and pick up my phone and computer. (Note: The Department of Homeland Security is now allowing agencies to review I-9 documents remotely without a notary.) Luckily, this allowed for some human connection and a brief tour of where I will be working when this period of remote work has passed. If youâre unable to meet your new hire, videos of a virtual office tour could help them feel more oriented. I came home, cleared my desk, and began setting up my workstationâs phone and computer. I was grateful for a printed sheet with directions to set up my VOIP phone and the tech support companyâs phone number who I needed to call after getting set up to finish helping with a couple of things. Seamless software and hardware set up for your new employees, whether the computer is picked up or sent by mail, is so important! By communicating with IT in advance, more than 95% of the process was done for me, reducing a lot of frustrations and allowing me to jump right into work. Having printed or video instructions for setting up hardware and software are invaluable. Virtual Meetings Later the first day, I had a one-on-one virtual meeting with my new manager, followed by one with the executive director, and later one with the entire team. I think that having that experience is irreplaceable. I got to learn about othersâ backgrounds, and they mine, and begin the process of connecting with my new coworkers. While you can make eye contact and observe tone and body language during a virtual meeting, it still doesnât feel like the real thing, but neglecting to have these virtual meet and greets would be a disservice to your new employee. Over my first week of work, I had one coworker who had been filling in for my role while it was vacant. She patiently walked me through screen shares of different new softwares and fielded my many questions through chat. We formed a quick friendship after realizing we had some unique things in common, too. And I had found someone I could ask my questionsboth about my work, culture, and other things about the organization. I think having a welcome buddy or training buddy is invaluable. I would have been lost without this guidance. Additionally, having links to tutorials to new software is very helpful to let the employee train in their downtime. The Value Of Organization Organization is so important during this process of introducing the employee to their new responsibilities. A shared document of tasks could help the manager and employee stay on the same page as they are getting oriented and sinking into their work. Long-term goals, as well as short-term, achievable tasks, could be included. Itâs important for the manager to let the employee know time-frames and deadlines, and would also be helpful for the manager to discuss, daily, weekly, and monthly recurring tasks and expectations, as well as a schedule for having future one-on-one meetings. All of this helps set the employee up for success. Donât be afraid to adjust the timelines to allow your new employee time to absorb everything, as being onboarded 100% remotely can feel overwhelming and disorienting. One other aspect I think could be a benefit to new employees and their employers is to allow some time for casual connection that is not so work-driven. Whether itâs a virtual coffee chat, team lunch, or happy hour depending on the organizationâs culture, this would be a helpful way for a new employee to settle in, relax, and connect with the companyâs culture and their new coworkers. âResearch shows that organizations that engage in formal onboarding by implementing step-by-step programs for new employees to teach them what their roles are, what the norms of the company are and how they are to behave are more effective than those that do not,â SHRM states in its document Onboarding New Employees: Maximizing Success. By making your virtual onboarding process really work for your new employee, you will increase retention, satisfaction, and connection.

Why You Should Say Thank You Instead of Sorry
Why You Should Say Thank You Instead of Sorry A great many people say sorry or I'm sorry over and over againâ"ladies specifically. You're most likely mindful of whether this is an issue for you. What's more, indeed, a few circumstances do require a genuine statement of regret: in the event that you find somebody or you're communicating compassion, sorry away! Likewise if youre communicating certified lament for a slip-up you made. Be that as it may, not all circumstances require your statement of regret! googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-promotion 1467144145037-0'); }); Take being late, for instance. Rather than surging in and saying Sorry I'm late! take a stab at utilizing thankfulness rather: Thank you for pausing! This little content flip changes a circumstance from being flaw based (yours) into appreciation based (for example warm fuzzies for your coworkers).Try it in different situations, also. Let's assume somebody gets an error in your public statement. Rather than, Gracious, I'm grieved!, what a bout, Much obliged! Great catch! Substantive helpful analysis? Rather than I'm sorry I didn't get that right, attempt, Thank you for that supportive note!Saying sorry has become so programmed nowadays that it's nearly utilized (and got) with next to no weight. In the event that you can be all the more saving with your conciliatory sentiments, they will appear to be increasingly authentic. Attempt another technique of possibly saying 'sorry' when a conciliatory sentiment is truly justified. At all different occasionsâ"when you're simply attempting to be obligingâ"take a stab at offering your thanks and thankfulness for others. Express gratitude toward them for being marginally hindered and afterward proceed onward. Generally, whatever you would apologize for is minorâ"traffic keeping you down, a grammatical error, and so forth.â" and scarcely worth the penitence.By saying thank you rather, you are not permitting your status and great assessment to be degraded, and you have the sp ecial reward of communicating your companion or associate's worth, which will consistently cause them to feel better. They'll at that point see you in a progressively positive light. Win/win!It works outside of the workplace, too. You just bothered you pal? Try not to state, Sorry I meandered aimlessly. Say: Thank you for tuning in to the entirety of that! Instead of Sorry I took up such a large amount of your time, attempt A debt of gratitude is in order for investing such a great amount of energy with me today! It continues forever. You'll discover your statements of regret will be progressively certified and both you (and whomever was hanging tight for you to show up at the gathering) will both feel preferable after your thanks over you would have something else. So flip that negative to a positive at whatever point conceivable. Why You Should Say Thank You rather than Sorry We frequently apologize for little things in the working environment, feeling that is the thing that individuals like to hear. Recollect when you were giving an introduction? Do you say sorry when somebody requests that you rehash or clarify something from the last slide? As indicated by a recent report, ladies additionally apologize more than men. Be that as it may, commonly, we utilize the word sorry without really thinking more than due to legitimate need. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-advertisement 1467144145037-0'); }); Over saying 'sorry' can lead others to question you or lose trust in your capacities. Through her funnies underneath, Yao Xiao proposes that you state 'thank you. Look at the accompanying comic and perceive how utilizing thank you rather than sorry can have a very different impact. Based on a study done across companies using Salesforce Service Cloud, growth in performance metric has been drastically increased. If you see the below infographic, agent productivity increased by 40%, case resolution increased by 41%, which eventually led to a 31% increase in customer retention. This growth illustrates why people prefer Salesforce Service Cloud and how it plays an important role in improving your customer support team. Now lets understand what Salesforce Service Cloud is and what services it has to offer. What is Salesforce Service Cloud?Salesforce offers Service Cloud as Software as a Service. Service Cloud is built on the Salesforce Customer Success Platform, giving you a 360-degree view of your customers and enabling you to deliver smarter, faster and more personalized service. With Salesforce Service Cloud, you can create a connected knowledge base, enable live agent chat, manage case interactions all at one platform. You can have personalized customer interactions or even up-sell your products/ services based on his/her past activity data. Now, you may be wondering how to access Service Cloud. Let me walk you through the steps to access a Service Cloud Console. Step 1: Login to login.salesforce.com Step 2: Create a SF Console App Step 3: Choose its display Step 4: Customize push notifications Step 5: Grant users Console Access Sc UserWhat services it offers? As I had mentioned earlier, there are case tracking and knowledge base features. There are several other services that Salesforce Service Cloud offer which will enable you to provide a differentiated cus tomer experience. You can refer the below image to see what Salesforce Service Cloud has to offer you.You can take your console to the next level by learning the following features in Salesforce: Case Management Any customer issues raised are usually captured and tracked as cases. Cases can be further classified into the following:Email-To-Case: Email-To-Case helps you create a case automatically when an email is sent to one of your companys email addresses, such as support@edureka.co.These generated cases will be displayed in an Emails related list. This Emails related list includes all emails sent by your customer on a particular case, as well as the email threads.Web-to-Case: Web-to-case helps you create a new case automatically in Salesforce whenever a support request comes directly from your companys website. To enable it, you can go to Setup Build Self-service Web-to-case settings. Check the Enable Web-to-Case checkbox. You can select an Auto-response template and select t he default case origin as Web.Escalation and Auto-Response: Case escalation rules are used to reassign and optionally notify individuals when a case is not closed within a specified time period. Also, you can configure auto-response rules to respond to cases either from the web or email. At the core of the Service Cloud lies the Case module. Let us understand the Case module with an example. Assume in a large organization like Coca-Cola, few of the employees systems get crashed, lets call it as breakdown of laptops. Now you need to fix this as soon as possible to ensure business continuity. Service Cloud helps you track the progress and provides you with all the necessary information of every Coca-Cola agent. You can solve the problem by creating a case. You can then assign them as high priority and also categorize the origin of this case (such as phone, email or web) and then click on Save. Refer the below screenshot to get a better understanding. Solutions You can categorize your solutions into query types making your solution search easier and closing the case faster. With this, the agent does not need to create a new solution to existing queries every time. This helps in enhancing your agent productivity. Solutions do not need any additional license. For the same Coca-Cola scenario, if you want to solve a case as an agent, then you will definitely search for a solution. Firstly, you can check whether the solution has been already present or not. If it is not present, then your admin can create a solution stating that the case has been resolved and hence can be closed. You can refer to the screenshot attached below. As you can see in the above screenshot, I have created a solution- Laptop Solution that displays the title, status and the details of the solution created. Knowledge Salesforce Knowledge is a knowledge base where users can edit, create and manage content. Knowledge articles are documents of information. Customers can go to the companys website a nd search for solutions. Knowledge articles can be associated with a case before it is closed unlike solutions. Salesforce Knowledge needs a separate license to be purchased. Communities Communities are a way to collaborate with business partners and customers, distributors, resellers and suppliers who are not part of your organization. Typically, these are the people who are not your regular SFDC users, but you want to provide them some channel to connect with your organization and provide them access to some data as well.In Salesforce, if you go to the Call Center dropdown, you will find Success Community. A Salesforce user can use their user id and password to login there. This community is accessible to all the developers, functional consultants or admins. In this community, user can search anything as it has a lot of things like documentation, articles, knowledge, feed, questions and many more. For example: If you want to know about record type, then you can search here. Have a look at the screenshot attached below. As you can see in the above search, you got a lot of customers problems, documentation, known issues, ideas etc. You can now start exploring them, understand the major issues faced by the customers and fix them accordingly. Console Agent console provides unified agent experience. It reduces response time by placing all the information together. In a console, you can find everything from customer profiles, to case histories, to dashboards all in one place. As I have shown you the basics of how to set up a Salesforce console in the beginning of this blog. Admin can grant Console Access to the users, Service Cloud gives you the console access where you can assign users to it. Refer the below screenshot, you can assign user profile for the console. Also, you can assign the Service Cloud user license to agents with those profiles so that they can start using your console. Social Media Service Cloud lets you leverage social media platforms su ch as Facebook, Twitter to engage visitors. With Salesforce Social Studio, customer requests are escalated directly to your social service team. Social media plays an important role in bridging the gap in virtual world, engaging them in real time.Live Agent Live agents dealwith 1:1 customer interaction. Agents can provide answers faster with customer chat and keyboard shortcuts. They stay totally connected to the customersas their team members are alerted immediately to get the issue resolved. Also, it makes the agents smarter and more productive in the process with real-time assistance. This in turn improves customer satisfaction. Salesforce Service Cloud is all about providing services to your customers and building a relationship with them. You can use other features such as call center, email chat, phone, google search, contracts and entitlements, chatter and call Scripting. How Much Salesforce Service Cloud Cost?Salesforce Service Cloud offers three pricing packages- Professi onal, Enterprise and Unlimited. You can refer to the table below and select your plan accordingly.Professional $75 USD/user/monthEnterprise $150 USD/user/monthUnlimited $300 USD/user/month Case management Service contracts and entitlements Single Service Console app Web and email response Social customer service Lead-contact account management Order management Opportunity tracking Chatter collaboration Customizable reports and dashboards CTI integration Mobile access and administration Limited process automation Limited number of record types, profiles, and role permission sets Unlimited apps and tabs Advanced case management Multiple Service Console apps Workflow and approvals Integration via web service API Enterprise analytics Call scripting Offline access Salesforce Identity Salesforce Private AppExchange Custom app development Multiple sandboxes Knowledge base Live Agent web chat Customer Community Live video chat (SOS)Live Agent web chat Knowledge base Addit ional data storage Expanded sandbox environments 24/7 toll-free support Access to 100+ admin services Unlimited online training Customer Community Live video chat (SOS) Our agents love Salesforce CRM Service. They tell us how easy it is to use and how phenomenal it is when it comes to driving a better customer experience CharterThis is how Salesforce Service Cloud has revolutionized the way customers interact with organizations using the services over the internet. Now, lets have a look at how Coca-Cola implemented Salesforce Service Cloud to solve its business challenges.Salesforce Service Cloud Use Case: Coca-ColaMany global organizations leverage Salesforce Service Cloud for a better customer relationship management solution. Here, I will talk about how Coca-Cola Germany used Service Cloud to analyze consumer behavior and build data driven business strategies. This use case will give you an idea on how Service Cloud can be used extensively across any domain. Salesforce Ser vice Cloud is an integrated platform to connect employees, customers, and suppliers around the world.Earlier, Coca-Cola was facing several issues while managing their customers. They took a lot of time and effort.Call center and repair department suffered from frequent downtime.Lack of speed, functionality, scalability and connectivity with a fully-mobile experience.Slow mobile app sync-up.Overall unsatisfactory user experience. In the past, big companies outcompeted smaller companies. But thats history. Today, the fast companies outcompete the slow companies, explained Ulrik Nehammer CEO of Coca-Cola. Now when they are connected to the Salesforce Service Cloud, technicians are alerted in real-time on customer issues. This helps reduce response time dramatically. Also, call center support agents receive instant access to customer history. With all of th is, productivity of Coca-Cola Germanys technical services has shot up by 30%.A Big Fix for Coca-ColaWith the Service Cloud, they wanted to understand their customers need and cater to them more effectively. Here are some key points that contributed to their excellence.Customer satisfaction One to one support to customers through any channels or product with services for app like video chat or agents instantly guiding them to solutions.Mobile App Using app mobile support, customers can interact via live agent video chat, screen sharing and on-screen guided assistance. These services transform customer support resulting in making their customers happy. Analytics Using Salesforce Service Cloud, all information is gathered and evaluated through custom dashboard. Coca-Cola performed analysis to check the past transactions and immediatelytook actionat the location they serve. This helped them in making better and profitable decisions in lesser time. Agent productivity is supercharged With features such as email-to-case, skills-based routing, milestone tracking, Service Cloud gave their agents the tool to respond quickly and efficiently to customers on any channel. This is how Coca-Cola has enhanced the overall productivity. This has been a massive step forward for us, said Andrea Malende, business process expert and mobile solutions in Coca-Cola. Check out our quick buyers guide below where we outline some of the features and aspects about 3D pens that you should know before committing to a purchase. We recommend giving it a read before returning to our list above where were convinced that youll be able to find the right pen for you.How do 3D pens work? There are two main different types of 3D p ens. The first type that came on the market was plastic 3D printing pen. This essentially would heat plastic to the point of melting, allowing users to draw with it, and as it would dry quickly users were able to draw into the air. Afterwards, cool ink pens came on the scene, which removed the heating components from the pen, by replacing the plastic filament with with a gel resin. The disadvantage here was that these pens could not draw into the air, but rather users would draw horizontally, and then assemble a 3D structure out of the dried horizontal shapes. Nowadays, there are cool ink 3D pens that are able to draw into the air using a UV light to quickly dry the resin. Are 3D pens expensive?Contrary to popular belief, 3D pens are not actually that expensive, with several products available on the market for less than $40. That being said, you will have to pay over the $80 mark for some of the premium 3D pens available right now. What filament types are there?Filaments have the pla stic element that allows for 3D drawing. Generally speaking there are four major types of 3D pen filaments on the market right now, those being flexible, specialty, composite, and standard. Each filament will noticeably change your drawing style. Our measure of what makes the best type of filament is how easily replaceable it is, as this will improve the longevity of your 3D pen. What are the different features I need to make note of?One of the most defining aspects of a 3D pen is its control mechanisms. With heated plastic pens, a lot of the time you will be able to adjust the heat of the pen, and the flow, which will help you to design your drawings more precisely. Continuous speed regulation also makes drawing with a 3D pen much easier, and much more comfortable. Are 3D pens dangerous?Heated plastic 3D pens can be dangerous for children, simply because of the heating element being capable of causing burns. When you think about it, the pen spews molten plastic, which in the wrong ha nds can be quite risky. Therefore we would not recommend heated pens for use by small children. Thankfully, there are non-heated pens on the market designed specifically children, if that is what you are looking for.SummaryTo wrap up our review of the best 3D pens on the market, our advice is to look over our buyers guide one more time, to give you a fresh idea of what it is exactly you want from your 3D pen.
